INDOOR FOXES, Scottish born singer and songwriter, makes indie rock music, described as “Courtney Love meets Paris Hilton vibes; a bit pretty and very, very loud”. Indoor Foxes is the moniker of Martha Barr, who cites artists like Wolf Alice, Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore, and Fatherson as her main inspiration. To Martha, Indoor Foxes is a vehicle of expression; a cooler and braver version of herself, “I almost idolise this half-character I have in ‘her’. It feels like wearing your favourite outrageous jacket or a really big pair of stompy boots when I move through the world as Indoor Foxes.” The name Indoor Foxes was coined a few years ago, inspired by an influencer named Feral Creatures. Indoor Foxes was born when she switched the word ‘feral’ for Indoor and creatures for her favourite animal ‘fox’.
