• FIZZY BLOOD •
Fizzy Blood are a band born from ambition, determination and resilience. Based in Leeds, their refreshing musical bravery has seen them shed any traces of the generic, with their own brand of retro-inspired rock.
The band’s live shows are brimming with dark rock ‘n’ roll, a rampant urgency, and deadpan vocals which transform into a harsh, bitter howl. Their unique on-stage presence soon resulted in them routinely touring the UK’s small venue circuit. Fizzy Blood found themselves being picked to perform at international showcase festivals locations including South By South West in Texas, Reeperbahn Festival in Germany and landing big-time tours with the likes of While She Sleeps.
Last month, Fizzy Blood revealed their colossal new single ‘Pink Magic’. Commanding and anthemic, the track showcases a new strength to Fizzy Blood’s sound. The new single, along with previous release ‘CFO’, will be featured on the band’s forthcoming EP of the same name, which will come later this year. Having struggled to figure out where they lie within the industry Fizzy Blood described the EP as what they believe to be the most accurate representation of who they are as a band and where they want to take their music moving forward. They have accepted that they do not lie within the genres of metal or of indie. Now they aim to move forwards being a band that excites all listeners of music.

• JACK RIVER •
School, college, university—being a youth can be the best time of your life. However, it can also be one of the hardest experiences with many learning curves. All the people we relate to the most tells us a lot about our own understanding of who we are. Likewise, all the people we fall in love with tells us a lot about our willingness to sacrifice our own comfort for a meaningful relationship. “It’s the souvenir of my youth, the wish of what it could have been.”
Jack River is fronted by Holly Rankin, who’s announced the release of her debut album Sugar Mountain this June, and everyone’s excited. Following the success she gained from her previous singles Fool’s Gold, Fault Line and Ballroom, she packages all the could-have-beens and the long-lost-moments into an intimate, longing and nostalgic account of her youth, that speaks to the hearts of many. Coming from Australia, she blends a cocktail of thumping club beats and anthemic synth harmonies that are glassed with a relish of indie rock guitar tones, reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys. She confidently strides with a surging vocal shine that even caught the attention of Grammy Award-winning record producer Ben Allen, who produced her first single ‘Talk Like That’.
Jack River is the stylish, youthful and free-spirited embodiment of Rankin’s creative pneuma that shoulder-jerks a fragile pout into a smile that’s convinced of better days to come ahead, despite yesterday’s sorrows and regrets.

• DEVON •
Devon is indie’s latest songster and multi-instrumentalist who writes and records all his own music. From the Forest of Dean in Gloucester, his band mates Josh, Jack and Ad play live alongside him, and bring the music alive in gigs. Fuzzy guitars, big drum beats with massive basslines all combined with soul inspired vocal melodies and real, meaningful lyrics are what makes his gigs so energetic… and sweaty.
Playing a gig on home turf in the South West, Devon has promised if the The Fleece hits capacity during the set, which begins at 3:15pm, that his band will shave his hair right off straight after playing. Pledge your support to this valiant cause by joining his FB event here.
Described by Born Music as “the perfect track to lift spirits and dance the day away” Devon’s most recent single ‘Day Dreaming’ dropped at the end of last month, take a listen below.
